June 18, 1890: The Union Church organized. A clerk, treasurer and four deacons elected. July 6, 1890: First members received into the church, 42 by letters and 13 by confession of faith. First communion service held. December 31, 1890: First service held in church sanctuary, a Young People’s Christian Endeavor prayer meeting.
