1. Primary applications. Nursing Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS) Opens in late August. We strongly recommend reading the instructions before beginning. Includes reference forms, applicant information, education, professional experience, personal statement, and programs you apply to.
Almost all nursing programs require applicants to take one of the following standardized tests: National League of Nursing Pre-Admission Examination (NLN or NLN PAX), Nursing Entrance Test (NET), or Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS or ATI-TEAS).
The UH Mānoa Nursing bachelor’s curriculum meets the requirements of the Hawai‘i Board of Nursing to obtain a Hawai‘i RN license. The master of science (MS), nursing major degree program prepares the student in advanced population health, and nursing education & leadership.
Applicants to and students of a Nancy Atmospera-Walch School of Nursing (NAWSON) undergraduate nursing program must consult with a NAWSON Office of Students Services advisor regarding the use and limitations of non-graded course equivalencies to meet current graduation requirements.
To earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, students must fulfill the requirements for the major and meet all of the University’s other baccalaureate degree requirements. (Please see the Baccalaureate Degree Requirements in this Catalog.)
