Gunrock is the official mascot of the UC Davis Aggies, the athletic teams that represent the University of California, Davis, and was based on Gunrock (1914–1932), an American Thoroughbred stallion, and the son of English Triple Crown winner Rock Sand. [2]
19 Φεβ 2014 · Our beloved Gunrock is more than a mascot. He's "One of a Kind," a link to UC Davis history, to the University Farm. He’s a furry blue reminder of the real Gunrock, the Army studhorse born 100 years ago Wednesday (Feb. 19).
The official school mascot is the mustang. Students at UC Davis are referred to as Aggies in honor of the school's origins in agricultural studies. Unlike most colleges, there is a distinction between the name for students and the mascot. Some students supported changing the school mascot from the mustang to a cow, but

22 Οκτ 2024 · California's College Town Davis is the ultimate college town. It’s green, laid back and friendly. You can walk or bike from the main campus to the main street in a few blocks. College students fill up the tables at nearby restaurants and coffee shops with their laptops, homework and friends.
