Admission to Carleton’s graduate programs is competitive. It is important to familiarize yourself with the specific requirements of the program to which you wish to apply. Although each program may vary slightly, the overall admission process is the same for all graduate programs.
While each program has its own minimum requirements, the following will give you a guideline to determine your eligibility to submit an application. Contact the department offering the graduate diploma for minimum requirements. Contact the participating academic unit or the collaborative program directly for minimum requirements.
Most programs have two application deadlines for each term. The first deadline is for guaranteed consideration of admission and funding, if applicable. The second deadline is for consideration of admission and funding if space and funds remain.
Carleton is home to many international graduate students who chose to attend our university located in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. For the most up-to-date information about study permits to Canada, please visit the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada website.
When you access Carleton Central, go to Student Records and click on the Graduate Admissions link. Here you can view a list of required documents and will be able to upload any outstanding documents required for your particular program.
