The aim of this guide is to clarify the process and offer advice. Getting Published in Academic Journals is written for graduate students and newly graduated PhDs who want to publish their research in peer-reviewed academic journals.
Submissions should follow Chicago Manual of Style guidelines. All bibliographic information should be in endnotes, with full citation information for each source given in the first note mentioning that source (see Sample Citations ).
Today, the press primarily publishes English Language Teaching (ELT) textbooks and teacher training manuals, scholarly monographs in a variety of fields—including classical studies, Asian studies, political science, disability studies, and theater and performance—and books on Michigan and the Great Lakes region.
Students who submit an application before they have received a high school diploma will apply as a first-year student, and should submit the following items prior to the deadline: Completed Common Application with $75 application fee* payment; High school transcript (additional requirements by country) School Report (Common App)**
