  2. State-mandated common prerequisites must be completed prior to graduation, but are not required for admission to the program. See the Common Prerequisite Manual for course substitutions from Florida colleges and universities.

  3. Clinical groups are team-taught with access to two faculty members for most classes. Our NCLEX pass rate is one of the highest in the state of Florida. You must apply to be admitted to UWF through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions prior to applying to the Dr. D.W. McMillan BSN Nursing program.

  4. The Commencement team works to make the graduation ceremony a memorable experience for you! If you need information concerning your diploma, degree verification, graduation applications, etc, contact graduation@uwf.edu or visit uwf.edu/graduation. Fall Commencement.

  5. Graduation is the fulfillment of academic requirements and the award of a degree/certificate placed on the official record (Transcript). All applications must be submitted during the application period. Specific dates are noted below and in the Academic Calendar.

  6. Prior to completing a Graduation Application, students should consult with their academic advisors, check their Degree Audits, and reference the appropriate Academic Catalog to make sure all graduation requirements are met.

  7. When should I apply to graduate? Do not apply for graduation until the semester you will actually complete your last class, or requirement for your degree(s) whether it be a Class, Field Study, or Internship. If I applied for graduation am I set to walk at the ceremony?
