15 Οκτ 2024 · If you're trying to figure out what strings you have on your bass (or in your spares bag) you can often identify double bass strings by their thread wrappings. Here we have some of the most common strings - with photos!
They combined rock, folk, bluegrass and gospel and their bass player would often play an upright (with a splitcoil P bass-pickup through a fat tube amp, sounds huge). I especially love their albums "Secret South" and "Low Estate".

26 Απρ 2000 · Barry Bales mainly use Helicores (gut D and G on one of his basses). Mark uses Spirocore weichs. Kevin, I dunno. Most guys use steel strings these days although the "classic" country/grass sound on older records is gut strings.
