1 Ιαν 2017 · The study provides an analytical approach of assessing urban biodiversity in Manila City, Philippines through spatial mapping, inventory and profiling utilizing tools such as i-Tree Canopy, Urban Green Space Inventory, and Simpson's Index of Diversity.
Among the 149 cities in the Philippines, 21 cities were identified as urban ecology research study areas (Fig. 3a). Twelve studies were conducted from a country-wide perspective, and most of the studies were conducted within Metropolitan Manila (Fig. 3b), mainly studying the socio-ecological dynamics of the cities.
