The Urbandale 4 th of July celebration is the largest celebration in the Des Moines metro area. This event is held at Lion’s Park in the heart of Urbandale. This long standing tradition includes a 2 mile long parade, a premier carnival, entertainment garden, live music as well as a variety of other activities.

The Parade begins at 10 a.m. from the Old City Hall on 70th Street north to Aurora Avenue finishing at 82nd and Aurora. Details coming in 2022. Advanced tickets can be purchased through July 1st and are available at Urbandale Hy-Vee, Medicap Pharmacy (Urbandale) , and Price Chopper (Merle Hay).
