OP • 3 yr. ago. Btw this is the last page of the manga so spoilers for those who don't know the ending yet! I don't think it spoils what exactly will happen on the 5th movie though. Couldn't attach the 2nd photo for some reason.
Synopsis. Lum and Ataru must play another game of tag, or the Earth will be infested with mushrooms larger than buildings. Further, should Ataru lose, Lum will leave forever and everyone's memories will be changed so that they don't remember she, or her friends, were ever there.
In my mind Lum the Forever will always be the end of the anime -- much as I enjoy Inaba the Dream Maker and some of the OVAs -- when Ataru is forcibly thrown by a crazy explosion into Lum's arms. And the closing credits, with "Melancholy no Kiseki" and the photo montage, are sublime.
The final arc of Urusei Yatsura, "Boy Meets Girl" is 11 chapters long. And some of the chapters preceding it could be considered build-up for the last arc, for example, the Inaba the Dreammaker stories. The former was adapted into the 5th movie and the latter was the 3rd OVA in the original series. They weren't adapted into the TV series.
Urusei Yatsura: The Final Chapter is the fifth movie tie-in released for the 1981 Animated Adaptation of Urusei Yatsura. Unique amongst the six movies, it is the only one to not be a Non-Serial Movie, being instead an Animated Adaptation of the World of Darkness Arc, the 11-chapter long arc that served as the grand finale of the manga.
I, I, You and Ai (I,I,You & 愛, I, I, You and Love) is the fourth ending theme of Urusei Yatsura, performed by Izumi Kobayashi. It is used from episodes 55 to 64, and also used as opening and ending themes to Urusei Yatsura: Only You.
Uchuu wa Taihen da! (宇宙はタイヘンだ!, Space is Weird!) is the first ending theme of Urusei Yatsura, performed by Yuko Matsutani. It is used from the 1st episode until Episode 21.5 continuously. It later returned for OVAs 8 and 10. It was also used as an insert song.
