The key and quill represent the Quartermaster’s control of the military supplies and attests to the sound business practices and professionalism of the Corps. The Crest. Displayed above the shield, the crest was originally placed on top of the helmets of chieftains so that their followers might readily distinguish them in battle.

This design is now called the “Regimental Eagle” and was incorporated in 1986 into the Quartermaster Regimental Crest and in 1994 into the Coat of Arms of the Quartermaster Regiment that are displayed on the Quartermaster Regimental flag. Symbolism
