19 Απρ 2011 · Hi all, I'm putting together a display in which I'd like to have a ww2 era pistol belt as part of it. I have a 1942 dated belt and boyt-42 holster that I got together. I have a 1918 mag holder, but it's much too "khaki" and doesn't match, so I'll try to find a 40's dated holder.
This US Officer's Holster is designed to fit standard 1911 style handguns. Made from top-grain heavy leather with a warm satin finish and sewn with waxed linen thread, it comes complete with leather leg-thong. Features 2-1⁄4 inch wide belt loops and belt hanger for use on web belts. Comes stamped US, choose right or left hand.
U.S. M1916 45 PISTOL HOLSTER - M11476. Original WW1 issue, faint 1918 date and inspector initials on the belt loop. US embossed flap. Shows its age with wear and scuffing, intact stitching, serviceable condition.

United States Marine Corps Field Equipment. During WWII the U.S. military used cotton webbing and canvas materials to produce personal equipment to be used in the field by it's personnel. The predominant color of the USMC equipment from that era was a mustard shade of khaki.
