A dual hdmi adapter into a single usb-c can only display a mirrored image on both. You would need to use a specific thunderbolt dock (rather than usb-c adapter) or plug the monitors separately into the different buses (one on either side).
We have an M1 Mac Mini with a hub attached through one USB C port and an external monitor though the second USB C port. I have a new SSD Drive that I plan to use for video editing but am out of ports. Can someone recommend a reliable splitter for one of the USB C ports?
15 Σεπ 2020 · Connect the second display to a Thunderbolt port with the appropriate adapter or cable. Yes, but you can only use one at a time i.e. a splitter with an A/B switch. A Mac mini can run at least two displays simultaneously. No switches or splitters are needed.
On a Mac mini with M1 chip, you can connect a second display to the HDMI port . See the Apple Support article Mac computers with Apple silicon . For Mac computers with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) : You can connect a single display to each port.
I know the M1 Mac mini has 1 HDMI port and 2 thunderbolt ports. In order to connect my two HDMI monitors, would I just need to use the HDMI port for 1 monitor, and then get a USB-C to HDMI adapter to connect the second monitor?
