   A dual hdmi adapter into a single usb-c can only display a mirrored image on both. You would need to use a specific thunderbolt dock (rather than usb-c adapter) or plug the monitors separately into the different buses (one on either side).

   I've found that it's practically impossible to add more than 2 external monitors via using any combination of the HDMI port and USB/Thunderbolt ports, if you plug 3 in you'll have only two and if you unplug one that was working and replug one that wasn't it will make the replugged one work and the one that was previously working won't work.
