I am a max main currently working om collection logs and is looking into ways of gathering hard clues. Of course implings will be the best but this comes with a huge gp loss. My understanding is that there are two main non-impling ways, cannoning hellhounds in wildy with row(i), and barraging/bursting jellies in catacombs.
