U.T. Dallas adopted the following grade scale for all undergraduate students effective Fall 2000. Grades for courses completed prior to Fall 2000 accrue point values as shown in the appropriate catalog. Grade points are computed by multiplying the points for each grade by the number of credit hours; for example, 4 (A) x 3 (hours) = 12 grade points.
A student’s cumulative GPA is determined by dividing the total number of grade points earned by the total number of semester hours completed. Marks such as I, NC or CR are not included in a GPA. For more information, see the grading policies in the Undergraduate Catalog .
The Office of the Registrar is responsible for registering students, maintenance of your academic record, ie. change of grades, majors, transfer work equivalency and degree conferrals, and issuing official transcripts.
