The shifter’s bend should be back and toward the left. Rotate the shifter until the correct orientation is achieved. Put the shifter through the carrier. The shifter has four components above the main pivot ball: upper bushing (black in most applications, shown here as white), spring, cap, and C-clip.

The RK6A is an "ultra-short" knob that is adjustable between a high and low position. The RK6A knob is available either with the standard black BMW-style insert (5-speed or 6-speed) or with a genuine BMW Motorsport tri-color stripe insert (5-speed only) at an additional cost.

Not sure what you ordered but there's probably better alternatives for your e36 than UUC especially if it's the full SSK or whatever or DSSR. Just do a Z3 shift kit and then get a bent DSSR. Last edited by E36 Em Tree; Today at 04:29 PM .
