The VA disability rating system basically indicates how the service-connected disability affects your productivity and functionality in daily life. Disability is rated from 0% to 100% in increments of 10% (i.e. 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% etc.).
VA disability ratings are percentages assigned to a veteran’s disability, individually and overall, during the VA disability claim process. The overall rating (or combined rating) determines how your monthly benefit payments are calculated.
