Conditional statements are used to perform different actions for different decisions. In VBScript we have four conditional statements: If statement - executes a set of code when a condition is true. If...Then...Else statement - select one of two sets of lines to execute.
Use else to specify a block of code to be executed, if the same condition is false. Use else if to specify a new condition to test, if the first condition is false. Use switch to specify many alternative blocks of code to be executed. The switch statement is described in the next chapter.
The post provides a complete description of the VBA If statement. It covers Else, ElseIf, conditions and the alternative Select Case statement.
Use an If...Then...Else statement to define two blocks of executable statements: one block runs if the condition is True, and the other block runs if the condition is False.
