1 Δεκ 2021 · Super excited for vcv rack 2 i picked up the pro version and download it from the website. Tried installing it but nothing happens after the permission access dialogue in windows. Anyone else facing this issue here and found a solution?

25 Δεκ 2022 · Go into settings, find UAC (User Access Control) and temporarily set it to the lowest/most permissive level. Download/locate the Rack installer .exe file. Right-click the .exe installer file and select “Run as administrator”. Does that improve things?
3 Δεκ 2021 · Then make sure that you have no previous version of VCV 2 anywhere left (program files/VCV). After that right click the freshly downloaded .exe and go to settings. There is a checkbox at the bottom, that you trust the downloaded exe.

Some devs, like NYSTHI and Alright Devices (Chronoblob2) still have their plugins in beta and haven't made it into the VCV Rack library yet for Rack 2. But there are many in the library already. Rack 2 installs separately to Rack 1, so you can have both installed.
