The Riverside County Vector Control Program conducts Mosquito population studies throughout the year. Encephalitis virus surveillance traps or CO2 traps have been stationed in the western portion of Riverside County and in the unincorporated areas around the City of Blythe.

20 Οκτ 2023 · Due to recent positive West Nile virus mosquito test sample results, the Riverside County Vector Control Program has scheduled an ultra-low volume ground application using truck-mounted sprayers to reduce the number of adult mosquitoes.
