19 Μαρ 2024 · In 2008, in association with capital infusion from the Rocket Racing buy-out, Velocity announced the turbo-prop powered Velocity Turbo. This is envisioned as a 6 seat luxury airplane, with a 45' wingspan and 4,300 lbs empty weight (7,500 lbs gross). Range is targeted at 1,400 nm with a 28,000' ceiling. Speed numbers have not yet been offered.
The standard 100 gallons won't be enough at 24gph per side (.9lbs/hp/hour/side in cruise). Hate to be a downer, but wouldn't TIO-390's have been better options. 210hp vs 241hp down low would be a hit, but the TIO-390 would have better power at altitude at way lower fuel burn.
