Travelling to Iceland end of July this year, and it was recommended that I rent a portable WiFi router from the rental car company to have during our 8 days. We will be travelling thru the middle of the country (F roads). I am hearing now that wifi access is present throughout the country.

16 Οκτ 2024 · If you have a friend or acquaintance who uses T-Moble, you can test to see if your phone will work with their SIM. If not, depending on model, you may be able to 'Unlock' it. In the US, most carriers (like AT&T) 'LOCK' the phones they sell / provide, so that they will ONLY work on their Network.
23 Ιουλ 2023 · If you just have one phone on the Verizon plan, no one else can use their phones in the car. (if it's just two of you, probably a moot point). But if you have kids who will want to be glued to their phones even in Iceland, then the wifi option allows everyone to have internet access.
