22 Ιαν 2023 · My friend uses Outlook 2019 so I was in server settings configuring imap for her and sometimes it would take the app password I generated from the iPad and sometimes it wouldn't. This behavior continued resulting in a unstable Send/Receive error loop.
For example, if your incoming mail server (pop.mailserver.net) communicates via port 115, the server would be configured as pop.mailserver.net:115. ASMTP uses some form of authentication (username/password, IP address, etc.) to verify that a sender is authorized to send messages using that particular server.

3 Φεβ 2022 · Office 365 suddenly started changing my verizon/aol server settings to yahoo at the end of October. When I manually change them, they do not save and revert back to yahoo. I have tried every suggested way to reset them.
21 Σεπ 2013 · Make sure "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" is checked. This is only relevant for incoming in outlook and selecting it would change the incoming port to 995 which will never work as my isp send mail on 110. I'm reverting to outgoing server (smtp) port 587 and outgoing server outgoing.verizon.net until I can find a working solution.
17 Δεκ 2021 · My verizon.net account managed through AOL stopped working and reset a portion of the POP server account information to go look for Yahoo addresses and not the Verizon ones. The detailed article provided by Outlook MVP Diane Poremsky provided a solution that worked correctly and restored my Outlook email function.
