To request a police report or other public record by mail, you will need: Record Request Form. VSP case number. Date of the incident. Name of all parties involved. Type of incident. Records requests can be made online or by mail directly to the Vermont State Police. The Vermont Access to Public Records Act, Title 1, Chapter 5, Subchapter 3 of the Vermont Statues Annotated, provides for access to public records. The Act also includes specific exemptions from public inspection. Those exemptions are set forth in 1 V.S.A. § 317.

The Vermont State Police 75th Patch was created as part of the 75th anniversary of the VSP. It is the Vermont State Police patch with more green than normal, 75th Anniversary along the bottom edge and 1947 on the left side of the seal picture and 2022 on the right side.
