Very high frequency (VHF) is the ITU designation [1] for the range of radio frequency electromagnetic waves (radio waves) from 30 to 300 megahertz (MHz), with corresponding wavelengths of ten meters to one meter.
Extremely high frequency (EHF) is the highest microwave frequency band. EHF runs the range of frequencies from 30 to 300 gigahertz, above which electromagnetic radiation is considered as far infrared light, also referred to as terahertz radiation.
High-frequency electromagnetic waves are more energetic and are more able to penetrate than low-frequency waves. High-frequency electromagnetic waves can carry more information per unit time than low-frequency waves.
High frequency (HF) is the ITU designation [1] for the band of radio waves with frequency between 3 and 30 megahertz (MHz). It is also known as the decameter band or decameter wave as its wavelengths range from one to ten decameters (ten to one hundred meters).
Gamma rays, at the high-frequency end of the spectrum, have the highest photon energies and the shortest wavelengths—much smaller than an atomic nucleus. Gamma rays, X-rays, and extreme ultraviolet rays are called ionizing radiation because their high photon energy is able to ionize atoms, causing chemical reactions.
24 Οκτ 2024 · Exercise 1.2.1. The equivalent circuit shown in Figure 1.2.5 is modeled in the code below, with a plot to show the real and imaginary components of the effective impedance. The values for the parasitic inductance and capacitance are set quite high so that the effect is easy to see. These values are free to be modified.
5 Ιουν 2024 · Properties of Waves. A wave is an oscillation, if represented in the plane using a Cartesian coordinate system looks like a sine wave, being the x axis time and the y axis amplitude. Amplitude is the variation of the wave across a given period being the peak the highest point of a wave. The difference between two peaks is a wavelength.
