Vestibular migraine can cause a range of different symptoms. Most people will only experience some of the symptoms. How severe symptoms are will vary from person to person. Dizziness or vertigo. The most common symptom reported by sufferers of vestibular migraine is vertigo.
Vestibular migraine (also referred to as migrainous vertigo, migraine-related dizziness, vestibular migraine or migraine with prominent vertigo) is a type of migraine where people experience a combination of vertigo, dizziness or balance problems with other migraine symptoms.
Around 40 per cent of migraine sufferers will experience vertigo or balance disturbances before an attack or as the main symptom – this is known as vestibular migraine. The word vestibular relates to the inner ear, which is important for our sense of balance.

27 Ιουλ 2022 · Vestibular migraine is a specific type of migraine in which sensations of movement (vertigo or dizziness), or balance problems occur alongside other migraine symptoms. Vertigo attacks may vary between individuals and between attacks.
Symptoms. Dizziness is the main presenting symptom in vestibular migraine. The term dizziness may be used to describe a number of sensations, including spinning, swimming, disorientation, a general imbalance or sensitivity to movement or motion. Symptoms can last from 4 to 72 hours in duration.
