Does anyone know who makes a replica WOOD stock for the Vietnam era M40's? I am starting to collect things for a build. I missed the factory Remington replicas a few years ago. Any info on these beautiful rifles is greatly appreciated.
22 Ιαν 2014 · I HAVE OBTAINED PHOTOS OF THIS M-40 VIETNAM ERA SNIPER TO SHARE. The collector purchased it about 25 years ago in a sporter stock. After another 20 years he luckily found the correct sniper stock, numbered in the barrel channel (but not matching to t his rifle). He recently purchased the correct redfield accurange scope from a board member.
Spend thousands of dollars on a high quality rifle, built with a synthetic stock from a reputable manufacturer and you may see ½-1MOA accuracy. When a similar effort is made with natural materials, specifically wood stocks, the story changes entirely!
