Name and Origin: "United States Virgin Islands"; from the Spanish title given by Christopher Columbus to the islands, "Santa Úrsula y las Once Mil Vírgenes", literally meaning "Saint Ursula and the 11,000 Virgins". The name was shortened to "las Vírgenes", hence "the Virgins" in English.

22 Νοε 2021 · St Thomas has more beaches, more bars, more restaurants, and is easier to get around on. For either, I’d rent a house/AirBnB. Stick around Coral Bay or Cruz Bay on St John. On St Thomas, I’d try and get on the north side of the island. It’s quieter, more lush, and you have some really good beaches to chose from.
23 Ιουν 2023 · As someone who lives in the virgin islands and worked as a snorkel guide. Saint croix, the pier in Frederick, is the best snorkeling in the territory. And an even better dive. Also, Saint Croix as an island is going to be a far better experience than Saint Thomas. I could write you a novel as to why, but just trust me.
8 Ιαν 2022 · Verizon works everywhere except some less populated bays on st john. My Verizon phone works on STT and STJ. Don’t get a prepaid phone. I have Verizon and haven’t had an issue. Just keep in mind that certain areas like coki beach on st.Thomas is really close to the British VI, so you could get charged for international.
11 Απρ 2021 · New car meta: US Virgin Islands. Got US Virgin Islands in at least 2/3 games so far, thought y'all would like to know. The white car is also on the west side of the south island. And yeah, it's not new. Why don't we just make a game that has no imagery at all other than the car for you people. Not exactly new but yes, the car meta is very helpful.

My 14-year-old (overworked student) and my partner (overworked Nurse) want a vacation where they can snorkel and enjoy beach lounging. I've hit upon USVI (specifically St Thomas) as an option. Thinking of going off-season in late October/early November for a couple weeks. I have it in mind to rent an AirBnB condo near Red Hook.
