Academic preparation for admission to Virginia Tech is best achieved by sustaining an academically rigorous course selection throughout high school. Specifically, students must complete: 18 units of high school coursework, including: 4 units of English; 3 units of math; 2 units of laboratory science (chosen from biology, chemistry or physics)
Virginia Tech admissions is selective with an acceptance rate of 57%. Students that get into Virginia Tech have an average SAT score between 1240-1430 or an average ACT score of 27-32. The regular admissions application deadline for Virginia Tech is January 15.
