8 Νοε 2014 · You cannot perform an upgrade from a 32-bit version of Windows Vista to a 64-bit version of Windows Vista. You must use a full copy of Windows Vista to perform a clean installation of a 64-bit version. For instructions on how to perform a clean installation, see Installing and reinstalling Windows.
32bit > 64bit is not done by any upgrade. It is done by a clean install. OEM licenses are for the bit architecture that they are bought with. If you want to change it, you have to buy it, which is no longer sold. It requires a clean install of the operating system.
15 Ιουν 2008 · To answer your question about installing over the top of 32bit, the answer is no. You must do a fresh install when going from 32bit to 64bit. The only way you can do an upgrade is if you stick to 32bit Windows Vista.

1 Ιαν 2012 · In your case, you can upgrade to Windows 7 depending on edition and architecture of Windows Vista you have installed. If you are running a 32 bit version of Vista and want to upgrade to a 64 bit version (edition of Windows 7), you will have to a do clean install, this applies vice-versa.
