Using this link I was able to successfully install Vortex on the Steam deck. The ONLY workaround I had to do within the guide was this. After you install lutris open up the Konsole and type: (flatpak install flathub org.gnome.Platform.Compat.i386 org.freedesktop.Platform.GL32.default org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.default) without the parentheses.
I know my smartphone's battery will drain fairly quickly if I had it downloading a lot of stuff after putting it to "sleep". Or plug it in, disable sleep while plugged in, start your downloads and turn off the display.
