13 Ιαν 2007 · A 1998 Jetta GL 2.0 weighed 2590 lbs and a 1999 MkIV weighs 2853 lbs. Almost 300 lbs, a 10% difference. Having driven (not extensively in either case) both models, the MkIV is by far much comfier, but it does feel a good bit heavier.
