The vehicle speed sensor is installed in the transaxle. It contains a pulse generator which provides a vehicle speed signal to the speedometer. The speedometer then sends a signal to the ECM.

9 Ιουλ 2013 · my vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is toast...speedo bouncing around. manual says VSS is in the instrument cluster (but the ka24e engine & most other cars have it attached to the tranny). does anyone have any experience replacing the VSS?
