13 Μαρ 2023 · Basically, I can't connect to a specific server (the first one I tried to connect to in 1.0) even if I restart Steam. I don't know why or how to diagnose it. Reproduction steps
16 Νοε 2023 · I've now readded this functionality (commit in our private repo), so once that change goes out, it should be possible to get the server working without a connection to Steam by adding RequireAuthentication="false" to the server config file.
1 Νοε 2023 · Steam authentication failed. With the release of version v1.1.18.0 (Treacherous Tides), we encountered an error when trying to “direct join” via a virtual local network to a dedicated server, at the same time it works via external IP.
If you run it directly from the game folder while not logged onto Steam, you will not be able to join servers that require a valid Steam ID to join. I launch it throught steam and its just that, takes a while to connect and then the error i tried to turn off the firewall or forwarding my ports.

-opt out of beta branch in steam if you are on one. -Reboot computer, if you are using windows choose restart PC instead of shutdown because it works slightly different. -Install barotrauma on same drive as steam.
