2 Νοε 2012 · A Status Effect, or commonly called a Proc, is an additional effect which may be triggered at random by a hit from a weapon or Warframe ability. Status Chance is the probability that a hit will inflict a status effect.
The best elemental combo depends on what you’re doing. If you’re using a weapon that can deal slash procs (either through its natural slash damage or through a mod like Hunter Munitions), you want viral damage (cold + toxin) because that status effect greatly amplifies the bleed damage from slash.
Many of the aoe or beam weapons can easily apply status effects. There's also options like Epitaph alt-fire. Lesion is perhaps one of the best melees for statuses. Hidden toxin proc, high status chance, decent(ish) crit, and slash based. Probably one of my all time favourites.

As we all know, Status saw some pretty big changes with the Warframe Revised update; more than half of the damage types had their status effects reworked entirely. The goal of the changes was to promote the usage of elements other than corrosive by bringing less-used elements to a better state.
