Battle Angel Alita is a fun, cyberpunk OVA about an android named Gally; found in the dump by a cybernetics doctor. The anime is a solid effort in the cyberpunk genre, and whilst not the most engrossing it is definitely a good time.
Since this the final episode of the OVA it leaves us in a weird spot. From some cursory research it appears this is an adaption of the first 2 chapters and so it leaves us with a "read the manga" type ending.

Battle Angel, known in Japan as Gunnm (銃夢, Jūyume?), is an original video animation (OVA) based on the Battle Angel Alita manga. The OVA comprises two episodes, Rusty Angel and Tears Sign, that serve as a compressed preview for the manga.
Tears Sign is the second episode of the OVA and roughly corresponds with volume 2 of Battle Angel Alita, Tears of an Angel. As Yugo and Tanji prepare to leave an alley with their cyborg victim's spinal column, Vector appears and kills the cyborg to eliminate him as a witness.
