"The Slab" is a popular gathering point on the Llano River just upstream from Kingsland. There is plenty of sand for sunbathing, picnics, games, and more! The water is shallow and perfect for wading, making it a great place to bring your kids.
Beautiful spot on the llano river that is free! The river flows over black and pink granite and you can find all sorts of arrowheads and fossils here. Beautiful for swimming or laying in a waterfall.
The Llano River (/ ˈ l æ n oʊ / LAN-oh) is a tributary of the Colorado River, about 105 miles (169 km) long, in Texas in the United States. [1] It drains part of the Edwards Plateau in Texas Hill Country northwest of Austin.
