This is a simulation of diffraction of light by a double slit. Use the sliders to adjust the distance between the slits and the wavelength of the light. Use the checkboxes to show or hide the wavefronts, maxima, and vertical scale. Use the Show Interference Pattern button to create the interference pattern that would be seen on the screen.
12 Σεπ 2019 · I am trying to create an animation of a wave propagating and passing through a double slit to undergo diffraction. The effect is something similar to the image attached: I have played with the wave modifier and dynamic paint (canvas for wave plane and brush for slit), but the wave will just propagate through the slit with no observable effect:
