During normal gameplay, W. D. Gaster is typically unmentioned. Despite this, River Person, rare Fun Value events, and certain Inaccessible Rooms hint at his existence.
Gaster's existence in Undertale was discovered after players looked through the game's code. [3] There are two sprites within the game's files that are believed to represent Gaster, known as "Mystery Man" and "Redacted".
