16 Ιαν 2008 · Wheeler recommends 15 to 20 in/lbs on standard scope ring screws on the upper halves. Supposedly after 20 in/lbs, the rings can handle it, but the bit has a possibility of breaking. The side bolts/screws have a large range of torque specs depending on what rings you have.
12 Ιουν 2014 · The instructions for the DNZ/H&R integral scope base indicate that the ring cap screws are to be torqued to 22-25 in/lb, but say the base screw torque is a manufacturer spec. Has H&R provided a torque spec for base or rail mounting?

7 Φεβ 2020 · I've read recommendations by one or two scope manufacturers (sorry, can't remember who but think one was Vortex, one maybe Sightron) that said rings should not be torqued to more than 18 in.-lb. For rings that have 4 screws per ring I use 12 in-lb, if there are just 2 screws I use 15.
