The site is designed to provide a basic overview of the EIKEN Test in Practical English proficiency for teachers, researchers, and test users in the international community.
As the most widely taken English exam in Japan, for example, it is used by many English language programs at the junior and high school level to certify (and in some cases waive) a student’s English proficiency requirements. The exam is not just used in Japan, however.
Start with level 5 and go as high as you can trying to get at least 7 out of 12 on each test. Our tests are slightly different from the original tests. You can do the tests multiple times as the questions are randomized each time you try.
25 Οκτ 2021 · There’s a total of seven levels, from Grade 5 to Grade 1, including Grade Pre-2 and Grade Pre-1. Grades 5 and 4 are aimed towards Japanese junior high schoolers in their first and second years and only require them to pass a listening test, though they’re given the option to take a speaking test as well.
