3 Οκτ 2017 · West Nile virus can cause a fatal neurological disease in humans. However, approximately 80% of people who are infected will not show any symptoms. West Nile virus is mainly transmitted to people through the bites of infected mosquitoes. The virus can cause severe disease and death in horses.
10 Ιουν 2024 · As of 10 February 2022, European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) countries and EU-neighbouring countries reported 159 locally acquired human cases of West Nile virus infections, including 13 deaths, in 2021.
