New player (Warlock), really enjoying D2 so far. Been learning the mechanics pretty easily but one thing has me stumped. Each piece of gear has an energy level (Void, Arc, Solar).

What are Energy weapons in Destiny 2? Energy weapons are those that can only sit on your Guardian’s Energy slot. But unlike Kinetic weapons, Energy weapons can do elemental damage: Either Solar, Arc, or Void damage.

26 Οκτ 2017 · 4 Answers. Sorted by: 11. Kinetic weapons have their Power value in white, with no elemental symbol (red flame, blue spark, purple vortex) by the value. Energy weapons and Power weapons both have elemental damage. Those are the symbols I mentioned above and correspond to Solar, Arc, and Void.
