The Laboratory Safety program provides information on safety issues found in laboratories. As a PI, you are responsible for the workplace safety of laboratory personnel and for the requirements outlined in this guide. Laboratory personnel includes faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students (paid and unpaid), and non-UW employees conducting research activities on your behalf, which may occur inside or outside the laboratory.
