23 Ιουν 2020 · On p. 64 in the Big Book it says: “ Resentment is the Number one offender. It destroys more alcoholics than anything else.” With that in mind, you would think that it would be the first thing on the agenda, but it was not.
Our desires for sex, for material and emotional security, and for an important place in society often tyrannize us. When thus out of joint, man’s natural desires cause him great trouble, practically all the trouble there is. No human being, however good, is exempt from these troubles.
8 Ιουν 2022 · What Is Resentment, and Why Does It Matter? Resentment is defined as “a feeling of indignant displeasure or persistent ill will at something regarded as a wrong, insult, or injury.” In short, feeling that you were wronged and treated unfairly and being unable to let it go or forgive.
It brings misun derstanding, fierce resentment, financial insecurity, disgusted friends and employers, warped lives of blameless children, sad wives and parents—anyone can increase the list. We hope this volume will inform and comfort those who are, or who may be affected. There are many.
