Discussion. I use an iPad for a lot at work and knew you previously could use a CAC reader by paying $150 for a special one and downloading custom software from either Thurbsy (Identiv now) or TwoCanoes, but now you can use any USB-C or lighting reader on iPad and iPhone.

Recently got the iPhone 15 PM which switched from lightning to USB-C, and have been able to use the same CAC Reader I use on my Mac without issues. Been able to access outlook, IPPSA (the my. version but not the hr. version), MedPros, etc.
All the CAC readers with the lightning ports for Iphones are around 150. Has anyone tried to get the regular cheaper one that is USB, and use it in combination with a USB-Lightning adapter?
