In light of the SDG commitment to leave no one behind, we further disaggregated the results by wealth and school attendance.

Recent studies confirm that child labor is negatively correlated with school enrolment and delays school entry.
Child labour is the unacceptable form of child work. It is work that exposes children to harm or exploitation. Two core ILO conventions focus on the elimination of child labour, and place boundaries between child labour and child work. These publications feature both the number of economically active children as well as the more narrowly defined category of child laborers. ILO estimates that in 2000 there were 245.5 million children between the ages of 5 and 17 that fit the category of “child laborer.”
