This Guidance in a Nutshell provides a concise and simple introduction to the obligations related to compilation and provision of a safety data sheet (SDS) as foreseen by Article 31 and Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (the REACH Regulation), in particular as amended by Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/830.
The SDS is a means of transferring essential hazard information (including information on transport, handling, storage and emergency actions) from the supplier of a chemical product to the recipient of the chemical product.
