Cannabinoids (/ k ə ˈ n æ b ə n ɔɪ d z ˌ ˈ k æ n ə b ə n ɔɪ d z /) are several structural classes of compounds found in the cannabis plant primarily and most animal organisms (although insects lack such receptors) or as synthetic compounds.
12 Σεπ 2019 · Some, like terpenes and flavonoids (the compounds responsible for much of the color, taste, and smell of cannabis), are common in many different types of plants. But more than 100 of these chemicals are cannabinoids — molecules which share chemical similarities with THC and can have effects in the body.
6 Ιουλ 2020 · Phytocannabinoids are bioactive terpenoids that were thought to be exclusive to Cannabis sativa, but have now also been discovered in Rhododendron species, some legumes, the liverwort genus Radula, and some fungi.
This chapter has summarized recent progress in understanding the basic biology of cannabinoids and provides a foundation for the next two chapters which review studies on the potential health risks (chapter 3) and benefits of marijuana use (chapter 4).
15 Οκτ 2014 · Following the isolation and structure elucidation of the plant cannabinoids, particularly of cannabidiol 106 and of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ 9 -THC) 6, pharmacological and physiological work...
7 Μαΐ 2020 · Cannabis (Cannabis sativa L.) is a complex, polymorphic plant species, which produces a vast array of bioactive metabolites, the two major chemical groups being cannabinoids and terpenoids.
29 Δεκ 2020 · Additionally, much evidence from pre-clinical and clinical studies has been gathered over the last decade, suggesting that multiple substances produced by plants have a therapeutic potential, including anticancer properties [ 1, 2 ]. Advances in knowledge on plant properties and their medicinal uses occurred despite an unfavorable legal landscape.
